7.4

COMMAND LINE INTERFACE

7.4.1 SETTING UP THE CLI INTERFACE

To setup the CLI as the default interface the admin user attribute must be changed from menu to command.

Log into the Menu Driven Interface and select the Enable option. The display will then prompt you to enter
the supervisor password. The default supervisor password is root.

From the resulting menu, select the admin option.

From the resulting menu select the user option.

From the resulting menu select the modify option.

The display now prompts you to enter the user profile number. Type 1 and press the enter key.

From the resulting menu, select the attrib option.

The display now shows the attribute setting for user profile 1. The default setting is menu.

Press the Tab key to change the setting to Command and press the enter key

For the change to take affect you need to write the new setting to the flash and reboot the unit. Using the J
character return to the enable menu and select the write option. The display will now ask if you are sure you
want to write to the flash. Press Y (yes). The display will now ask if you want to rebbot the unit. Press Y (yes).

The AM2 will now reboot. Once this has been completed press the spacebar and type in the default user
name and password. You can now configure the AM2 via the CLI.

7.4.2 SETTING UP THE MENU DRIVEN INTERFACE

To change from the CLI to the Menu Driven Interface, type in the following commands

admin user modify 1 attrib menu
admin write
admin reboot.

Once the reboot has been completed you can enter the default user name and password to access the Menu
Driven Interface
