About the H3C S5820X Switch Series
The H3C S5820X Switch Series is a line of 10-Gigabit Ethernet switching products intended for the
distribution and access layers of enterprise or metropolitan area networks. You can also use this switch
series to offer access to the server farms in a data center.
The H3C S5820X Switch Series offers the following benefits:
• 10-Gigabit ports and a wide range of features, including the routing features, IPv4 and IPv6 dual
stack, and H3C cluster management for streamlined network management.
• Innovative Intelligent Resilient Framework (IRF) technology, which can virtualize connected S5820X
switches into one virtual switch for higher availability, scalability and resiliency, and
manageability.
• Support for the H3C Open Application Architecture (OAA). You can install customized open
application platform (OAP) cards in your S5820X switch to provide value-added services including
firewall, anti-virus, IPS, and wireless access control.
