NOTE:

Unless otherwise specified, the examples in this section apply to all access points (APs) that support NTP.

Configuring NTP client/server mode

Network requirements

Configure NTP to synchronize the time between the device and the AP in

Figure 11

.

Use the local clock of the device as a reference source, with the stratum level 2.

Set the AP in client/server mode, and use the device as the NTP server of the AP.

Configuration procedure

Configure the device:

# Specify the local clock as the reference source, with the stratum level 2.

[Device] ntp-service refclock-master 2

Configure the AP:

# Display the NTP status of the AP before clock synchronization.

Clock stratum: 16
