Appendix A Using AEConfig

First Generation JetStream AoIP routers that do not have a built-in PC or who have the embedded

PC but have not upgraded to the Second Generation DSP?Network card use the legacy AE Config
3.6 software for system setup and maintenance.

This guide is intended for use by Logitek staff for creating a JetStream

configuration in AE Config v3.6.3.1(31 December 2009) and for use by
station personnel who wish to make minor modifications to their

JetStreams. Please note that during this transition period from the AE-32
Audio Engine platform to the JetStream platform, Logitek support will

create and modify a JetStream configuration at no charge.

Differences in Hardware between the AE-32 and JSM

The AE-32 uses the IO24A for analog input and output and the IO8D for

digital input & output. It uses up to two LS-DSP or SA-DSP cards. There are 8
slots for I/O cards (A-H). A fiber network card (NETA) may be installed in

place of an I/O card in slot H. A control card is installed in slot I. The DSP
cards are installed in slots J & K.

The JetStream uses 5 different I/O cards, which are installed in slots A - H.
There is one combination control/DSP card which is installed in the DSP

slot. Networking is handled by an optional embedded computer.

When setting up a JetStream, make the following substitutions on the
Hardware Configuration page in AE Config:
