C. AppleTalk
Interface

The mini 8-pin serial interface connector is the
standard interface type used by Macintosh.
PrimeraProÕs Apple LocalTalk (230.4 Kbps)
compatible interface allows PrimeraPro to be
connected either directly to the printer port of your
Macintosh or to an Apple LocalTalk network.

Direct-connect AppleTalk is supported for those
who wish to use a standard serial cable to directly
connect PrimeraPro to a Macintosh computer. You
may use the standard Apple Macintosh
Peripheral-8 Cable or the equivalent when printing
to PrimeraPro.

To use the printer on an Apple LocalTalk network,
use the Apple LocalTalk Locking Connector Kit
DIN-8 or the equivalent. Connecting to other
LocalTalk networks requires a LocalTalk DIN-8
connector compatible with the particular network.

PrimeraPro supports the following AppleTalk
Protocols: AppleTalk Link Access Protocol (ALAP),
AppleTalk Transaction Protocol (ATP), Printer
Access Protocol (PAP), Datagram Delivery Protocol
(DDP), Echo Protocol (EP), Name Binding Protocol
(NBP), and Routing Table Maintenance Protocol
(RTMP).
