Servicing the Service Processor

The service processor module contains the service processor firmware, IDPROM, and
system battery.

▼ Remove the Service Processor

Before you begin, complete these tasks:

Power off the server using one of the methods described in the section,

“Disconnect Power Cords From the Server” on page 65

Do the following:

1. Ensure that the power cords are disconnected from the server.

2. Loosen the two captive No. 2 Phillips screws securing the service processor to

the motherboard.
