5.6 Remote Management and External Interfaces to the BMC
Several external BMC interfaces are available to enable a variety of options for remote server
management. Additional detail on most of these interfaces can be obtained from the IPMI 2.0
Specification. Figure 9 provides an overview of the interfaces and the chapters that follow
describe platform-specific implementation.
