Basic Playback —Continued
This section explains how to play MP3 tracks with the
Disc Navigator.
Navigating MP3 Discs
1 Load an MP3 disc (page 41).
The Disc Navigator appears.
Initially, the Track list shows all of the
folders at the root level. Pressing the
Play [
] button at this point will play
all tracks in all folders in hierarchical
order.
The DPS-10.5 numbers folders and
tracks in hierarchical order. You can use
these numbers to select folders and
tracks directly with the Search function
(see page 45).
2 To open a folder, use the Up and
Down [
]/[ ] buttons to select
it, and then press [Enter].
The Track list shows the files and
subfolders in the currently open
folder.
3 Use the Up and Down [ ]/[ ]
buttons to select files and sub-
folders in the open folder.
To open a folder in the Track list, press
the [Enter] button. To close a folder
(i.e., move back up the directory tree),
press the [Return] button. Alternatively,
select the item at the top of the Track
list and press the Play [
] or [Enter]
button.
To get back to the root level, press the
[Top Menu] button. Alternatively,
select the item at the top of the Folder
list and press the Play [
] or [Enter]
button.

4 To play a track, select it in the
Track list, and then press the Play
[
] or [Enter] button.
If available, the following information
about the currently selected track is dis-
played: Title, Artist, and Album.
During playback, the following infor-
mation is displayed in the upper-right
corner: folder number, track number,
and elapsed time.
Subsequent tracks in the same folder
are played in order.
To play all of the tracks in a folder,
select the folder in the Track list (not
the folder at the top of the list), and then
press the Play [
] button.
You can select the next or previous
track during playback by using the
Next [
] and Previous [ ] buttons.
The first press of the Previous [ ]
button selects the beginning of the cur-
rent chapter or track.
If during playback you press the [Dis-
play] button to view information about
an MP3 track (see “Displaying Infor-
mation” on page 61), press the [Menu]
button to return to the Disc Navigator.
5 Press the Stop [ ] button to stop
playback.
