29.3.2 Creating paths with the DS GUI
In this example, we show how to establish two PPRC paths from DS6000 LSS 06 to ESS LSS
05 with the DS Storage Manager.
1. Click Real-time manager.
2. Click Copy Services.
3. Click Paths.
4. Select the Storage complex, Storage unit, and Storage image from which you want to
create PPRC paths. For this path, this server provides the source LSS.
5. Click Create. See Figure 29-4.

6. In the panel that opens, select the source LSS of the DS6000 from which you want to
establish the PPRC paths. Click Next. In this example, we wanted to establish PPRC
paths from LSS 06 as shown in Figure 29-5 on page 441.

Tip: CKD LCUs on an ESS 800 are always LSS 00 to LSS 0F. If you select ESS 800 LSS
10 to ESS 800 LSS 1F, you are working with open systems LSSs on the ESS 800.
