12. Position the replacement SCSI backplane over the drive bay as shown in
Figure 4-26. Ensure the clear insulator is positioned between the drive bay
and the backplane as shown.
13. Secure the SCSI backplane to the drive bay with the three screws and seven
pop-rivets removed in Step 11.
14. Position the drive bay in the chassis resting the drive bay on the chassis tabs.
15. Secure the drive bay to the chassis with the two front mounting screws
removed in Step 8. See Figure 4-24, C and D.
16. Install the mounting screws that secure the drive bay to the right side of the
chassis. See Figure 4-24, A and B.
17. Install the mounting screw that secures the drive bay to the left side of the
chassis. See Figure 4-24, E.
18. Connect all interface and voltage cables to the SCSI backplane.
19. Install the front input fan following procedures found earlier in this chapter.
20. Install the left and right side panels as described earlier in this chapter.
21. If open, close the EMI metal panel in front of the hard drive cage and secure
by turning its two thumb lock screws clockwise.
22. Replace and secure the front door.
23. Connect the system to its AC source and power up.
