Timer
Programming
You can programme this recorder to timer-record as many as 16
programmes.
With the S
HOW V IEW system, timer programming is greatly
simplified because each TV programme has a corresponding
code number which your recorder is able to recognize.
A
Turn on the recorder.
Press 1 .
B
Load a cassette.
Insert a VHS (or S-VHS) cassette with the record safety
tab intact.

Access the S
HOW
V
IEW
screen.
A Press PROG.
B Press w e to move the arrow to “SHOWVIEW”, then
press OK.
● When “PROGRAMME FULL DELETE UNWANTED TIMER
PROGRAMME” appears on the TV screen, you need to cancel
some of the currently set programmes. (

Enter the S HOW V IEW number.
Press the number keys to enter the S HOW V IEW number of
a programme you wish to record.
OR
A Press w r e t to move the arrow to the desired
number key, then press OK.
B Repeat step A to enter all needed numbers.
● If you make a mistake and needed to delete the last entered
number, press w r e t to move the arrow to “DELETE”, then
press OK.
● To delete all entered numbers at the same time, press w r e
t to move the arrow to “DELETE ALL”, then press OK.

Select the recording deck, then confirm the
S
HOW V IEW number.
A Press w r e t to move the arrow to “RECORD TO”,
then press OK.
B Press r t to select “HDD” or “VHS”, then press OK.
C Press t to select “CONFIRM”, then press OK.
● If the number you entered is invalid, “SHOWVIEW NO.
ERROR CONFIRM SHOWVIEW NO. THEN RETRY” appears
on the TV screen. Input a valid S
HOW V IEW number.
● If “SET GUIDE PROG THEN RETRY” appears on the TV
screen, set Guide Program Numbers (

Check the programme data.

Set the recording speed.
A Press r t to move the arrow to “REC MODE”, then
press OK.
B Press r t to select the desire mode, then press OK.
Before performing the S HOW V IEW Timer
Programming:
● Make sure that the recorder’s built-in clock is set properly.
● Turn on the TV and select the AV mode.
● Slide TV/CABLE/SAT switch to the right.

The S HOW V IEW number you
entered and the matching
timer-recording information
are displayed on the TV
screen. Check they are
correct.
● To cancel this setting, press
PROG.
IMPORTANT
Make sure the channel position number you wish to record is
displayed; if not, see “S
HOW V IEW ® System Setup” on page 85
and set the Guide Program number correctly.
