IDEALARC DC-1000

CONNECTION FOR AIR/CARBON ARC
CUTTING OPERATION
THE OUTPUT TERMINALS ARE ENERGIZED AT
ALL TIMES WHEN THE IDEALARC DC-1000 IS
CONNECTED FOR AIR/CARBON ARC CUTTING.

1.
Set ON/OFF PUSH BUTTON to OFF.
2.
Locate and open the access door on the Front
Case Assembly.
3.
If necessary, disconnect all wire feeder control
cable connections from the DC-1000 terminal
strip.
4.
Remove the leads from the unit by pulling them
through and out of the strain relief box connector
(s).
5.
Connect a jumper wire from terminal #2 to termi-
nal #4 on the terminal strip.
6.
Set the Welding Mode Switch to the CV(I) position
for air/carbon arc cutting.
