step 4. attach damper link to damper bracket on inner
transition collar.
4.1. Turn the inner transition collar upside down, and attach the damper
link to the damper bracket with the enclosed 1/4-20 bolt and nut,
as shown in Figure A-6, below.
4.2. Using two 7/16" wrenches, tighten the nut completely (Figure
A-7, below).
4.3. After tightening the nut, loosen it 1/2-turn.

step 5. attach damper assembly to inner transition flange.
5.1. See Figure 8, below. Insert the damper link through the inner
transition flange, and then place the inner transition collar over the
inner transition flange.
5.2. See Figure A-9, below. Align the notch in the rear of the inner
transition collar with the dimple in the rear of the inner transition.
5.3. Using a rubber mallet, gently tap the damper assembly (at the top
of the inner transition collar) until all screw holes align.
5.4. See Figure A-10, below. Using a 5/16" hex head nut driver, secure
the damper assembly with the five (5) provided zinc-plated #10 x 3/8"
screws.
Align notch and dimple.
