device parameter for the specified device to

true

. It also

returns the value of the

Mounted

device parameter for the specified device. This

operator is in

systemdict

.

The boolean values indicate:

true

device successfully mounted, or was already mounted

false

device not mounted

If a device with the specified device name is not installed, an

undefinedfilename

error occurs.

This operator may change the search order. See “Device Search Order” on
page 6-12.

returns on the stack the status of a specified device. This operator is in

systemdict

. A value of

false

is returned if the device is not present. If the

device is present, five boolean values and three integers (see the following
description) followed by a value of

true

are returned.

The five boolean values are:

searchable

true

, if the device is included in the search order and is to be searched for

the file operators that do not specify a device name. Same as the value of
the

Searchable

device parameter from the specified IODevice.

writeable

true

, if the device can be written to. This value is the same as the

Writeable

device parameter from the specified IODevice.

hasnames

true

, if the device supports named files. This value is the same as the

HasNames

device parameter from the specified IODevice.
