3 Use the ping command to check if other IP addresses are reachable.
For example, ping the IP address of the switch.
Note: Do not type the IP address shown in the preceding
illustration. Use the IP address of your switch.

Check event logs
Check the system log for problems that occur when protocols are initialized
after a reboot.
To access the event logs, click Start
→
Programs
→
Administrative Tools,
and double-click Event Viewer.
