Chapter 6. Changing the system settings

Chapter 6

Setting the function of an

external foot switch (FS-5U)

Here’s how you can specify the function of an external foot
switch connected to the SUB CTL 1,2 jack.

1.

Make sure you’re in Play page.

If you’re not in Play page, press [EXIT] several times.

2.

Press [F6] (SYSTEM).

3.

Press [F2] (PEDAL).

4.

Press [F4] (SUB CTL1), and use [VALUE] to select the

function of the SUB CTL 1 jack.

ASSIGNABLE:

The function can be assigned by each

patch as a parameter control pedal.

TUNER:

The tuner screen will be displayed.

BPM(TAP):

Tap input of the MASTER BPM parameter.

PU to FRONT:

Switch PICKUP sequentially toward the

front pickup.

PU to REAR:

Switch PICKUP sequentially toward the

rear pickup.

* When set to anything other than “ASSIGNABLE,” the

PEDAL/ASSIGN SUB CTL1 and SUB CTL2 settings are
disabled.

5.

Press [F5] (SUB CTL2), and use [VALUE] to select the

function of the SUB CTL 2.

6.

Press [EXIT] several times to return to the Play page.

Reflecting the New EXP Pedal

and GK VOL Values When
Patches Are Switched

This setting determines whether or not the current EXP Pedal
and GK VOL values after switching Patches are to be shown.

1.

Make sure you’re in Play page.

If you’re not in Play page, press [EXIT] several times.

2.

Press [F6] (SYSTEM).

3.

Press [F2] (PEDAL).

4.

Press [F6] (EXP/GK VOL HOLD), and use [VALUE] to

turn the pedal function on/off.

ON:

The values of the various controllers will be applied

when a patch is recalled. If you set the CTL pedal
operation to Latch and change patches when CTL is lit, the
settings at the time the patch was written will be recalled.

OFF:

The patch will be recalled with the settings of when

it was written. (The values of the various controllers will
be ignored.)

5.

Press [EXIT] several times to return to the Play page.

Adjusting the depth of the built-in

EXP pedal and the amount of change

You can specify the positions (minimum value/maximum
value) of the built-in EXP pedal.

1.

Make sure you’re in Play page.

If you’re not in Play page, press [EXIT] several times.

2.

Press [F6] (SYSTEM).

3.

Press [F2] (PEDAL).

4.

Press [PAGE

] to access page 2.

5.

Return the built-in EXP pedal, and press [F4] (SET).

The display will indicate “ARE YOU SURE?”

If you wish to set, press [WRITE].

* If you do not wish to set the settings, press [EXIT] to return to

Play page.

7.

Advance the built-in EXP pedal, and press [F6] (SET).

The display will indicate “ARE YOU SURE?”

8.

If you wish to set, press [WRITE].

* If you do not wish to set the settings, press [EXIT] to return to

Play page.

9.

Press [EXIT] several times to return to the Play page.
