6) Use the grease pack provided to apply a thick coat of grease to the sides of the end link
bushings and then install the end links over the quad shock mount studs in the rear
frame. Place one of the large washers from the hardware kit over the stud, then use the
stock quad shock nut to loosely hold the end link in place. Do not tighten the hardware
at this time.
NOTE
: V6 Mustang owners MUST order the quad shock mount brackets from Ford to install
this kit. You will need to order a left and a right hand bracket:

F4ZZ-4A491-A
V6 cars also will need four 12mmx20x1.75 bolts and two 12mmx20 nylock nuts. There are two
holes on each side of the car in the frame with crush nuts welded in them to mount the quad
shock bracket. Once the quad shock brackets have been installed they should not be
removed.
V6 cars with the stock exhaust system will have to modify the exhaust hanger, near the quad
shock mount. Unbolt the hanger from the frame and remove it from the exhaust system. Bend
the bracket at a slight enough angle to clear the end link of the sway bar. You will only be able
to use the hole nearest to the end of the bracket when bolting the bracket into place.
