The SHDSL Loop 1 G.991.2 Annex menu (see
Figure 5-55 ) is used to select the annex for the
SHDSL loop.

Option Description Function
1 A This option is used to specify Annex A. Annex A is used
for North American applications.
2 B This option is used to specify Annex B. Annex B is used
for European applications.
3 A/B This option is used to specify that the Total Access 1240
is to auto-detect the setting of the attached device.
