Switch memory allocation
Use the Memory tab to periodically assess the switch’s memory load.
1. Select Diagnostics from the main tree menu.
2. Select the Memory tab.
The Memory tab is partitioned into the following two fields:

RAM
•
Buffer
3. Refer to the RAM field to view the percentage of CPU memory in use (in a pie chart format).
4. Refer to the Free Limit value to change the CPUs memory allocation limits. Free Limit should
be configured in respect to high bandwidth and increased load anticipated over the switch
managed network.
5. The Buffers field displays buffer usage information. The Buffers field consists the following
information:
6. Click the Apply button to commit and apply the changes.
7. Click the Revert button to revert back to the last saved configuration.
Name
The name of the buffer.
Usage
Buffers current usage
Limit
The buffer limit.
