Bottom limit value

The seca 985 bed scale has a limit value function which generates an audible alarm if the

display value fails to reach a value which can be set. This allows maximum permissible

weight losses in dialysis, for example, to be linked to an alarm.
– The display shows the display value to

be monitored. Press the

FUNC key to

set the required limit value.

The last function used appears in the

display.

– Use the arrow keys to select function

FU 2. Activate the limit value function

by pressing the

FUNC key again.

You will see the last limit value set on

the display.

– You can change the value in 100 g in-

crements using the arrow keys.

– When the right value is set, press the

FUNC key again.

The limit value function and the alarm

are now activated. The arrow indicator

points to the symbol for limit value func-
tion.

– You can test the limit value function by

lifting the bed so that the measured val-
ue fails to reach the set threshold. The

alarm sounds. If you release the bed

again, the alarm goes silent.

– In order to switch off the limit value

function, press the

FUNC key again.

The arrow indicator for limit value func-
tion goes out.

Important note:

if the scale has been switched off, the limit value function must be reactivated as

described above.
