Select an LDKC number from this list. The default is 00. The
settings of LDEV numbers for the selected LDKC and CU
numbers appear in the table on the left.

For an open-systems volume, you can select only 00.

For mainframe volumes of the following emulation types,
you must not select 01:

◦ 3380-n, where n is a letter, a number, or a

combination of both. However, you can select 01 if
the emulation type is 3380-3, 3380-3A, 3380-3B,
or 3380-3C.

◦ NF80-n, where n is a letter, a number, or a

combination of both.

Select LDKC No.

Select a CU number from this list. The default is CU 00. The
settings of LDEV numbers for the selected CU number
appear in the table on the left.

Select CU No.

When you select more than one volume, use this list to set
the interval between the LDEV numbers that need to be
assigned to the newly created volumes. The default value
is 0. When you select 0, the LDEV numbers will be assigned
consecutively.

The value you specify as the interval between LDEV
numbers counts only the available LDEV numbers and skips
those that are not selectable.

of an LDEV that does not exist in the storage administrator

This check box can be selected only when logged in as a
