Formatting a Diagnostic Dump Tape
2. Press Menu until you reach the Drive Mode Main menu. “Drv Menu?”
appears.
3. Press Select to enter the Drive menu.
4. Press Menu once. “MakeDumpTp” appears.
5. Press Select to start. Any tape cartridge present in the tape drive is ejected.
6. When “Ld Dump TP” appears, place a write-enabled cartridge in the tape
drive. The operation starts automatically and erases and reformats a new
tape and gives it a special dump tape ID coding.
7. When finished, exit Drive Mode.
8. Put the tape drive online.
