• Wheel Angle Sensor calibration: The system sends a series of commands to receive Wheel Angle Sensor
data and ensure calibration.
• Valve fine calibration: The purpose of the valve and actuator fine calibration is to determine the control
characteristics of the hydraulic control valve. The values are then used by the system to steer the
vehicle.
• Calibration Verification: The system measures and records calibration data.
Note:
Both the hydraulic valve and actuator and Wheel Angle Sensor (only if installed) are calibrated
during the automated calibration routine. All steps of the routine must be completed and the changes
saved before any attempt is made to autosteer the vehicle.
Note:
You can press Pause and Resume (or manually turn the steering wheel) at any time during
the Auto Calibrate procedure if needed.
1. Press the Auto Calibrate button from the AutoSteer
Setup screen. The Auto Calibrate Introduction dialog
box appears.
2. Press the Right Arrow button. The Valve Deadband
Auto Calibrate dialog box appears.
3. Press the Start button to start the calibration of the
valve.
Note:
Your vehicle must be running between 1.6 mph (3 kph) and 5 mph (8 kph) before you start
the Auto Calibrate procedure.
4. When the system is done with the Valve Deadband
calibration, the Wheel Angle Sensor calibration
procedure begins.
The system sends a series of commands to receive
Wheel Angle Sensor data and ensure calibration.
Note:
The vehicle will execute a series of maneuvers during the calibration process, which may
include turning full left and full right.
