Changing the Temporary Priority Level of Untagged Traffic
This procedure explains how to change the temporary priority level of
untagged packets that enter a port, and so change the egress queue
where the packets are stored. For example, you could assign a temporary
priority value of 5 to the untagged packets received on a port so that the
packets are stored in queue 2 on the egress port. The default priority level
for untagged packets is 0.
To change the temporary priority level of untagged traffic received on a
port, perform the following procedure:
1. From the Main Menu, type A to select Advanced Switch
Configuration.
The Advanced Switch Configuration Menu is shown in Figure 14 on
page 64.
2. From the Advanced Switch Configuration Menu, type S to select
Quality of Service Configuration.
The Quality of Service Configuration Menu is shown in Figure 31 on
page 143.
3. From the Quality of Service Configuration Menu, type P to select Port
Priority Configuration.
