Appendix D—Using the Door Phone Controller With
An Answering Machine
Installation Information
This Appendix provides two methods for configuring an
answering machine to the AT&T Door Phone Controller. The
first method diagrams how to connect the AT&T Door Phone
Controller with an answering machine so that only regular
telephone calls are answered by the answering machine (see
Figure A-1). The second method diagramed will allow the
answering machine to answer both regular telephone calls and
calls from the Door Speaker (see Figure A-2).
