Food cooked in the microwave cools down too
quickly.

The food is not fully cooked.

Place the food back in the oven for a few extra
seconds. Do not forget that food coming from
the fridge must cook for longer than food
stored at room temperature

The rice pudding or stew boils over during
microwave cooking.

The dish is too small.

For liquid food, use a dish with twice the
volume of food.

The food cooks too slowly in the microwave
oven.

The food stored in the fridge is colder than that
stored at room temperature.

The colder the food, the longer the cooking
time should be.

Meat cooked with the microwave or
combination cooking mode is hard.

The cooking power is too high. You have
salted the food before cooking.

Never salt meat before cooking. If necessary,
salt after cooking.

In the microwave mode, the centre of the cake
is uncooked.

Insufficient cooking and/or standing time.

Increase cooking and/or standing time.

Eggs scrambled or poached in the microwave
oven are hard and rubbery.

Cooking time is too long.

Be careful when cooking small amounts of egg
as when they are over-cooked, you cannot
remedy the situation.

Quiche/filling is hard and rubbery when I use
combination cooking.

Power is set too high.

Use the lowest power setting for these foods.

Cheese sauce is hard and stringy when
cooked in the microwave oven.

The cheese has cooked in the sauce.

Add the cheese after cooking. The
temperature of the sauce will melt cheese.

Vegetables are dry when cooked in the
microwave oven.

You have cooked the vegetables without
covering them. The moisture level is low
(especially because the vegetables are not
fresh). You have salted the vegetables before
cooking.

Place a cover over them or cover with cling
film.
Add an extra 2 to 4 tablespoons of water.
If salting is necessary, only do so after
cooking.

Presence of condensation in the oven.

This is quite normal and means that the speed
of cooking is greater than the speed of the
extraction of vapour inside the oven.

Wipe the walls with a soft cloth.

The revolving glass tray turns in both
directions.

This is quite normal.

Hot air seems to escape by the door.

The oven door does not have a hermatic seal.

This is quite normal and does not mean the
oven has a leak.

Blue sparks or arcs appear which I use metal
utensils.

In the microwave mode only, you may not use
metal utensils. In combination cooking mode,
check if the utensils are damaged.

Switch off the oven IMMEDIATELY. Never use
metal utensils in the microwave mode. Check
the minimum weight of the food or the
automatic programmes.
