Installing the device master file (GSD file) and symbol files
GSD file
If a new hitherto unknown device is to be incorporated in a
configuration program when a PROFIBUS−DP system is to be
configured, an appropriate device master file (GSD file)
must be installed for this device. The device master file conĆ
tains all the necessary information for the configuration proĆ
gram. You will require the appropriate symbol files for repreĆ
senting the device in the configuration program.
Current GSD files and symbol files for the SPC200 can be
found in Internet under the following addresses:

and then to Download Area".

www.profibus.com: Go to Libraries" and then to Festo."
You will require one of the following GSD files for the SPC200:
ć
SPC_00C8.GSD (German version)
ć
SPC_00C8.GSE (English version)

ware, you will find the following symbol files under the
