1.1 Precautions (Internet Fax)

Reminder
In order to use the Internet Fax functions, a technical expert must install
the settings. Contact your service representative for details.
Internet Fax functions can be used under the following conditions.

The machine is connected to a network, and is set to send and receive
E-mail
- Specify the [Administrator Settings] - [Network Settings] - [Network Fax
Settings] - [Network Fax Function Settings] of [Utility mode] and set the
[Internet Fax Function] to [ON].

E-mail transmission and reception
The transmitted original (file attached to E-mail) may get damaged due to
network conditions. Be sure that the transmitted original is not damaged.
E-mail may not reach the recipient due to problems in the internet network
pathway even if “----” is displayed on the Transmission Result Screen (Job
List > Job Details > Send > Job History list) or in the result column of Activity
Report. “----” displayed on the Transmission Result Screen or the Activity
Report indicates that the fax is sent properly. If the reception confirmation
(MDN) is received, “OK” is displayed in Transmission Result Screen or in the
result column of Activity Report. Use G3 Fax to send and receive important
contents.

Reminder
When the machine is turned off, then on again with the main power
switch, wait at least 10 seconds to turn the machine on after turning it off.
The machine may not operate correctly if it is turn on immediately after
being turned off.
