Total # of Pages Used for quick memory transmission to send the fax with the number of
pages indicated. This allows the recipient to check whether the all pages
were received or not (In case of memory transmission, the total no. of
pages are automatically added).
Overseas communi-
cation A function to communicate with an overseas recipient. If an overseas
communication mode is set, the fax is sent at a lower speed. Specifying
an overseas transmission mode when faxing to the location where trans-
mission conditions are poor, even within the country, ensures that the fax
can be sent.
Password transmis-
sion A function for sending a fax with a password. If the recipient’s fax ma-
chine is set for closed network receptions, the sender must send the
same password as the recipient’s closed network reception password.
Pause A temporary break in dialing. In this machine, each pause creates a one
second break during dialing.
PB Push telephone line
Polling A function for sending an original loaded on the machine or stored in the
memory when requested by the recipient.
Program destination A function for registering fax numbers of destination that is sent and re-
ceived frequently and operation procedures of preset transmission. After
simply touching the program button, the destination is specified and the
communication can be automatically performed with the specified func-
tions.
Quick memory
transmission A method to start sending of fax by scanning one page of the original at
the same time. Function to send the original without overflowing the
memory even in case of multiple originals.
Redial A function for dialing a fax number again after waiting for a specified
length of time, for example, if the recipient’s line was busy.
There are 2 dialing methods like the manual dialing for manually redialing
the number and the auto dialing for automatically redialing the number.
Rejection of incom-
ing calls A function to avoid the reception of the troublesome fax after registering
in advance the received telephone number of the recipient which is to be
denied. When the registered telephone number matches with the receiv-
ing telephone number, the [Receiving Rejection] message is displayed
and fax is not received.
Relay broadcast A function to transmit the broadcasting via other fax (Called as a relay
distribution station). When there are multiple broadcast destinations at
distant places, one of the broadcast destination is specified to the relay
station and the entire amount of the communication charges can be re-
duced after relay transmitting from the relaying station.
Relay distribution
station A feature to broadcast the fax to the relay distribution station after receiv-
ing the relay request from the relay instruction station. The relay distribu-
tion function is not set in this function.
Relay instruction
station A fax machine that sends the relay broadcast request.
Remote reception A function for specifying that a fax be received using a remote number
from an external telephone.
Resending This is a function to resend the specific original stored in the memory that
couldn’t be sent either to same destination or to another destination.
