1.3.5 SMTP TX Settings

Using the software switch settings, you can select whether or not SMTP transmission is used. For
details, refer to
"Specifying settings concerning Assistant tool for C200, SMTP
transmission/reception and POP3 reception (mode 361)" on page 2-11 .
In order to specify SMTP authentication settings, the software switch settings must be specified. For
details, refer to
"Specifying security settings for e-mail transmissions (mode 380)" on page 2-14 .
Specifying the settings

In the Network Settings screen, touch [SMTP TX Settings].

Touch [SMTP Server Address].

Type in the IP address for the SMTP server, and then touch [OK].
– To specify a host name, touch [Host Name], and then type in the host name for the SMTP server.
– To change the port number, touch [Port], and then use the keypad to type in the desired port
number.
– [Host Name] appears only when "DNS Settings" is set to "YES".

Touch [E-Mail Address].
Parameter Description
SMTP Server Address Specify the IP address of the SMTP server.
This must be specified in order to send Scan to E-mail and Internet fax transmissions.
E-Mail Address Specify the e-mail address of the machine.
SMTP Authentication
User Name Specify the SMTP authentication user name used with SMTP authentication.
It is not necessary to specify this setting if the SMTP authentication user name is the same
as the POP3 user name.
SMTP Authentication
Password Specify the SMTP authentication password used with SMTP authentication.
It is not necessary to specify this setting if the SMTP authentication password is the same
as the POP3 password.
