Specifying settings in Setting Up LDAP screen 2/4

Touch [Search Base].

Specify the starting point for searches, and then touch [OK].
– A maximum of 255 characters can be entered.

In Setting Up LDAP screen 2/4, touch [Auth. Type].

Select the authentication method, and then touch [OK].
– anonymous: This is an authentication method where a user name and password are not necessary.
– Simple: This simple authentication method requires a user name and password. Be careful since
the passwords can be leaked over the network.
– Digest-MD5/CRAM-MD5: This authentication method can be used with a general LDAP server.
– GSS-SPNEGO: This authentication method can be used with Active Directory in Windows
(Kerberos authentication).
