3.16 Print Log Tool for Print Server
Using Print Log Tool for Print Server installed in the print server also allows
you to collect counter information of local devices and network devices that
are not managed by Account Manager.
Print Log Tool for Print Server obtains device information from the Account
Manager server, and collects counter information from print information for
each user. It also calculates a difference based on the MIB counter value of
a device to be obtained using SNMP before or after printing, and collects
counter information. The collected counter information is sent from the print
server to Account Manager. The procedures for using Print Log Tool for Print
Server are described below.

Local devices or network devices that are not managed by Account
Manager must be managed in "Print Log Tool Settings". For details, refer
to "Specifying settings for Print Log Tool" on page 3-153.

With Print Log Tool for Print Server, print information cannot be collected
for each account track.

Counter information obtained from print information may differ from the
actual count if printing fails due to a device error or print cancellation.

differ from the actual count if, for example, a copy is made during
printing.
