The Keyboard

Windows special keys

The keyboard provides two keys that have special functions in Windows XP.

One activates the Start menu and the other has the same function as the

secondary mouse button.

This key activates the Windows XP Start menu

This key has the same function as the secondary mouse button.

Fn + F6

Brightness Down

Fn + F7

Brightness Up

Fn + F8

Wireless Device Controls Pressing this hot key

allows you to switch between active wireless

devices. Only works if the wireless switch has

already been turned on.

Fn + F9

TouchPad On/Off

Fn + F10

Cursor Keypad On/Off This hot key enables/

disables the embedded cursor keypad. Numeric

lock state is logically disabled.

Fn + F11

Numeric Keypad On/Off This hot key enables/

disables the embedded numeric keypad. Numeric

lock state is logically enabled.

Fn + F12

Scroll Lock On/Off

Fn + Space

Change Resolution Cycles sequentially from the

current resolution to 800x600 to 1024x768 and

back again to the original resolution.

Fn + 1

TOSHIBA Zooming Utility (reduce): To reduce the

icon size on the desktop or the application window,

press 1 key while holding down the Fn key.

Fn + 2

TOSHIBA Zooming Utility (enlarge): To enlarge the

icon size on the desktop or the application window,

press 2 key while holding down the Fn key.
