5 VCOM Installation & Troubleshooting
5.1 Enabling VCOM
SW550X will encapsulate control packets on top of the real data when Virtual COM is enabled.
This will allow the Virtual COM port in the Windows/Linux system to access SW55 0X’s COM
ports. Remember that VCOM can only be enabled on TCP Server Mode (Fig. 5. 2 ) or TCP
Client (Fig. 5. 1).
