6.11 Creating a cam
The following chapter shows how fast you can create a cam.

How to create a cam:
1. Start »Cam Manager«.
2. Select FileNew or click the symbol .
• The entries of the routine can be kept except for slight changes.
3. Go to the dialog box New project and press the button Save project under name.
• Save the project e.g. as project_1 in a specific directory.
4. Press the button Next.
5. Do not change the following three dialog boxes General, Master and Slave1 and
confirm with Next.
6. Go to the dialog box product and enter e.g. 1 in the input field product number
(max 47).
• The »Cam Manager« is then as follows:
7. Press the button Product 1.
• The Cam Designer opens.
8. Draw two horizontal lines in different positions in the workspace. These will be au-
tomatically connected in the next steps.
9. Use the button to go to into the profile mode.
• The profile segments are calculated automatically.
10. Use the button to go into the interpolation mode.
• The table interpolation is calculated automatically.
