7. Operate your confining pressure intensifier to purge the Cell of air and fill it with confining fluid. The
Cell is filled with fluid when fluid returns to the confining intensifier reservoir.

Caution :
Increasing compressive force without first increasing confining pressure may crack the
specimen.
If confining pressure is not increased, your specimen jacketing will blow out.
When running a pore pressure test, apply confining pressure before pore pressure and
always keep confining pressure higher than pore pressure
Operate your confining pressure intensifier to apply confining pressure to your specimen.
