Reduce the Compressive Force
If the specimen has failed, first do steps 3 – 5, then go on to step 6.
3. Display the displacement control channel’s dc error.

Caution :
Make sure the displacement channel’s dc error is zero before putting this channel into
active control. If it’s not, the actuator can move, damaging the extensometers.
Select Displacement Control as your active control mode.
Zero the displacement channel’s dc error.
5. If the load unit hydraulic pressure has shut off, turn it on.
6. Remove pore pressure.
