Tail/Brake Lights: Replacing the Lamp Assembly
Follow these steps to replace tail/brake light lamp assembly:
1. Cut cable tie (A) securing harness covering to light (B).
2. Retrieve connections (C) from inside harness covering
approximately 6 in. (150 mm) from light and disconnect
wires. If necessary, remove tape.
3. Remove nut (D) securing light to frame and remove
light (B). Pull wires through hole in frame.
4. Feed connectors of new light (B) through hole in
bracket and position light onto frame.
5. Install nut (D) and tighten.
6. Connect wires to connectors (C) in harness and
secure harness covering with tape and cable tie (A)
as required.
