3.05 Input Power Connections
The Power Supply accepts input voltages in ranges from
208/230/460 VAC or 220/380-415 VAC, 50 or 60 Hz,
three-phase power.
NOTE
Refer to Section 3.06, Input Voltage Selection.
A. Electrical Connections
The power source must conform to local electric codes.
For suggested circuit protection and wiring requirements
refer to Appendix 1.
B. Input Voltage Selection
The Power Supply is factory-wired for 380-415 VAC or
460 VAC, three-phase input as ordered. For any other
input voltage, the Power Supply must be changed using
the procedures in Section 3.06.
C. Opening Power Supply Enclosure
The left side panel of the Power Supply must be removed
to gain access to the input power connections and the
input voltage selection. Use caution when removing the
panel as there is a ground wire connected to the inside of
the panel.
WARNING
Disconnect primary power at the source before as-
sembling or disassembling the Power Supply, torch
parts, or torch and leads assemblies.
1. Remove input power from the unit.
2. Loosen the two bottom screws in the slotted holes of
the desired Side Panel (viewed from the front of the
unit).
3. Remove the remaining screws which secure the Side
Panel to the Power Supply.
4. Pull the top of the Panel out and then lift up to re-
move the panel from the Power Supply a short dis-
tance (see NOTE).
NOTE
There is a ground wire attached to the inside of the
side panel.
5. Remove the nut securing the ground wire to the side
panel and remove the ground wire.

6. Remove side panel from unit and set aside.
7. To reinstall the side panel do the following:
a. Reconnect the ground wire to the panel.
b. Place the side panel onto the frame and slide the
top edge under the lip on the top panel.
c. Reinstall all the screws to secure the side panel.
3.06 Input Voltage Selection
NOTE
For power supplies to use 575 VAC input power,
the unit must be set up for 460V three-phase op-
eration and the Optional 575V Transformer As-
sembly must be installed.
The Power Supply has two voltage settings; HIGH VOLT-
AGE (380-415/460 VAC) or 208/230 VAC. All Power Sup-
plies are factory-wired for 380-415 VAC or 460 VAC, three-
phase input, as ordered. Input voltage selection is
accomplished by:
• Switching an internal voltage selection block and
auxilliary transformer input connector inside the
Power Supply
• Verifying the cable size conforms to the table in Ap-
pendix 1.
