1. Load the software CD into the CD drive and follow the onscreen instructions for

installation.

2. If you are using the "Basic Excision Tool" only (unlicensed PDQuest version), Use the

"Viewer Only" mode of PDQuest. Do not license PDQuest. The Basic Excision Tool will
remain live ongoing, and allow use of the spot cutter, through the Viewer Only mode. The
image analysis demo portion can be used for a 30-day trial, after which you can revert
back to Viewer Only mode, or purchase a license for PDQuest.

3. If you already have a licensed version of PDQuest on the computer, follow the install

instructions and update the registration. To update the registration, if the computer is con-
nected to the Internet, open PDQuest by double clicking on the desktop PDQuest icon,
go to the Help menu option, to "Register", to "Check License". The software will check
the license on record and establish the license for the new version. If the computer is not
connected to the Internet, use the Enter Password option. Enter the password that was
assigned to you for your initial registration. Check that the System ID has not changed. If it
has, call the telephone number listed on the Registration screen.

4. If you are loading the licensed version of PDQuest, follow the onscreen instructions for

installation. Then follow the onscreen instructions for registration of the license.
