POWER TRAIN REPAIR
Differential—Disassemble
1. Remove differential assembly from lower
case.

2. Remove blocks (G).
3. Remove axle (B) assembly.
4. Remove axle (J) assembly. 5. Remove seals (A) from axles.
6. Remove retainers (E), gear (D), and washer (C)
from axles.
7. Remove pin (H) and gears (I) from gear (F).

STX38 (SN —139614) (SN 185587—210000)

1. Apply 11 mL (0.40 oz) High Temperature EP
Grease to each area (K)—this is subtracted from
total quantity used.
2. Install pin (H) and gears (I) in gear (F).
3. Install washer (C), gear (D), and retainers (E) on
axles.
4. Install seals (A) on axles.
5. Install axle (J) assembly into gear (F).
6. Install axle (B) assembly into gear (F).
7. Install blocks (G) and differential gear assembly into
lower case.
