NOTICE:

Do not route card cables over or behind the cards. Cables routed over the cards can prevent

the computer cover from closing properly or cause damage to the equipment.

6 Press the retention arm into place, securing the card(s) in the computer.

NOTICE:

To connect a network cable, first plug the cable into the network port or device and then plug

the cable into the computer.

7 Replace the

computer cover

, reconnect the computer and devices to electrical outlets, and

then turn them on.

8 If you removed a sound card or a network adapter, see "Network Adapter and Sound Card

Settings" on page 94.

9 Uninstall the driver for the card that you removed.

Installing PCI and PCI Express Cards

NOTICE:

If you have or are upgrading to the optional dual-graphics configuration, see "Installing PCI

Express Graphics Cards in a Dual Configuration" on page 86 to install a graphics card.

1 Follow the procedures in "Before You Begin" on page 69.
2 Press the lever on the card retention arm and raise the retention arm.
