Replacing Hard Drives
Maxx 2400 Hard Drives are hot-swappable, meaning they can be replaced “on-the-fly” without
loss of data or interruption of server operation.
To replace a drive:
A. Loosen the knurled screws fastening the front panel. Pull forward and down to expose the
drive.
B. Remove the drive by pulling on the blue lever to unlatch the drive. Refer to Figure 48.
Remove the drive from the tray and replace it with the replacement drive.
C. With the blue latch still extended, gently slide the tray into the bay until you feel it “seat”.
Press on the latch to lock the drive into place. Return the panel to it’s normal position.
