About the HD/HDV and SD/DV Specifications
Throughout the manual we will distinguish between the video signal standards used by the camera
section, and the recording standards used by the recorder section. The video signal can be set to HD
(high definition) or SD (standard definition) specifications. The recording standard on the tape will be
HDV or DV, respectively.
