Remote control unit

Cause

Remedy

Remote control operation is not possible.

• Batteries are exhausted.
• The remote control unit is too far away from the

main system, controlling angle is too large, or
there is an obstacle between the receiver and

the remote.

• The audio cords and system control cords are

not connected properly.

• No software is loaded in the source compo­

nent.

• An attempt is made to play a tape which is

being recorded in the cassette deck.

• The remote control has not been set to the

operation mode for the component you wish to
control.

» Replace with new batteries.

controllable range.

• Connect properly referring to "System connec­

tions".

• Place software in the source component you

want to play.

• Wait until recording has completed.

• Press the component control selection key

corresponding to the component you wish to
control to activate the respective control mode
before operation.

Do not use contact cleaning agents because they could case a malfunction. Be specifically careful against using contact cleaning agents

containing oil, since they may deform the plastic components.

Memory back up function

Please note that the following items will be deleted from

the receiver's memory if the receiver is not turned on for

a period of approximately 3 days.

• Power mode.
• SYSTEM CONTROL MODE setting.
• Settings made using OSD (like SYSTEM SET UP and SURROUND

SET UP).

• Input selector settings (including MD and LD).
• Volume level.
• Broadcast band.
• Frequency setting,
