Encoder management

Searching system logs

Many events of the encoder, such as operation, alarms and notifications, are
logged into the system logs. They can be viewed and exported at any time.

Note: Connect a NetHDD to the encoder before starting the log search. The
network disc must be initialized.

To search system logs:

1. Click the

Log

button on the menu toolbar. The Log window appears.

2. Select the search start and end times.

3. Under

Major Type

and

Minor Type

, select an option from the drop-down list.

The minor type list of options available depends on the option selected under
major type.

4. Click the

Search

button. A list of results appears in the panel below.

5. Click

Save Log

to save a log file to a local directory.

Restoring default settings

To restore the default factory settings:

1. Click

Configuration

>

Maintenance

.

2. Click

Restore

or

Default

.

Restore: All parameters except those for IP address, subnet mask, gateway,
and server port are restored to factory default settings.

Default: All parameters are restored to factory default settings.

3. Click

OK

to confirm you want to restore default settings.
