the fume hood manually, follow safe-
lifting guidelines. Normally, the fume
hood can be slid off a hydraulic lift
table and be placed into position on
top of the hardboard support.

Unpacking Your Laboratory
Fume Hood

Carefully remove the crate and shrink-wrap on your
fume hood and inspect it for damage that may have
occurred in transit. If your unit is damaged, notify the
delivery carrier immediately and retain the entire
shipment intact for inspection by the carrier.

DO NOT RETURN GOODS
WITHOUT THE PRIOR
AUTHORIZATION OF LABCONCO.
UNAUTHORIZED RETURNS WILL
NOT BE ACCEPTED.

IF YOUR HOOD WAS DAMAGED IN
TRANSIT, YOU MUST FILE A
CLAIM DIRECTLY WITH THE
FREIGHT CARRIER. LABCONCO
CORPORATION AND ITS DEALERS
ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR
SHIPPING DAMAGES.

Do not discard the shipping skid or packing material for
your fume hood until you have checked all of the
components and installed and tested the unit.

Do not remove the fume hood from its shipping skid
until it is ready to be placed into its final location.
Move the unit by placing a flat, low dolly under the
shipping skid, or by using a floor jack.

Do not move the hood by tilting it onto
a hand truck.

Interstate Commerce
Commission rules
require that claims be
filed with the delivery
carrier within fifteen (15)
days of delivery.
