Description:
Fluor Protector is a protective varnish for desensitization and
caries prophylaxis. It contains fluoride.

Composition:
1 g Fluor Protector contains:
Bis {4 - [2- (difluorhydroxysilyl) ethyl ] – 2 –
methoxycyclohexyl } [N,N- (trimethylhexane – 1,6 – diyl)
dicarbamate] (9 mg) (fluorsilane).
This corresponds to 1 mg fluoride.
Auxiliary substances: Ethylacetate, isopentyl propionate,
polyurea-forming varnish

Indication:
– Treatment of hypersensitive cervicals
– Improvement of enamel resistance
– Long-term caries prophylaxis

Contraindication:
If patients are known to be allergic to any of the ingredients
in Fluor Protector, the material should not be used.

Side effects:
A slight burning sensation may occur if Fluor Protector comes
in contact with gingival tissue. Hypersensitivity reactions
(allergic reactions) in individual cases cannot be excluded.
According to today's standard of knowledge, swallowed var-
nish particles are harmless.

Application:
Fluor Protector is professionally applied by dentists, dental
hygienists or dental assistants with extended duties to give
prophylactic treatment and can be used for patients of all
age groups. Generally, Fluor Protector is applied every six
months. Within the framework of intensive treatment, Fluor
Protector can be applied at shorter intervals.
Ampoule: The contents are sufficient for 2–3 sets of teeth.
VivAmpoule: The contents are sufficient for 1 set of teeth.

Step-by-step procedure:
1. Thoroughly clean the tooth surfaces.
2. Create a dry field with cotton rolls and air syringe.

3. Open VivAmpoule with the integrated opening aid or

place ampoule in the plastic base and open it with the
enclosed breaker.

4. Apply a thin layer of Fluor Protector using a suitable

single-use applicator, e.g. Vivabrush or a brush. Use dental
floss to apply the material in proximal areas.

5. Evenly disperse and dry the varnish, optionally with an air

syringe.

6. Remove cotton rolls after 1 minute.
7. Do not ask the patient to rinse the mouth.

Tips for patients:
After the application of Fluor Protector, patients should
neither eat nor brush their teeth for 45 minutes.

Recommendation:
Fluor Protector should be used up quickly after opening the
VivAmpoule or ampoule, since the material tends to evapo-
rate.

Note:
Highly flammable.
The product contains ethyl acetate.
Keep away from sources of ignition.

– Remove spilled varnish immediately to prevent

stains.

The varnish should not come in contact with water or
aqueous cleaning solutions. Up to 12 hours after
spilling, acetone or ethyl acetate can be used to
remove the varnish.
Note: Check the surfaces of practice equipment for sol-
vent-resistance first. After longer periods of time, the
spilled varnish can only be removed mechanically.

Storage:
– Store Fluor Protector at 2–28 °C (36–82 °F).
– Shelf life: see date of expiration (if original packaging

remains unopened).

– Do not use the material after the indicated date of

expiration.
