Firebox Panel Removal / Replacement
The 34FIDV-LIN must only be used with the firebox panels
installed. The unit is shipped from the factory with the firebox
panels installed. However, if they need cleaning or have become
damaged, removal and replacement can be done by following these
steps. (See appropriate sections in this manual for other details.)
1). Disconnect both the electrical and gas supply to the unit.
2). Remove the firebox door / safety barrier.
3). Remove the burner assembly from the firebox.
4). Remove the retainer screw at the bottom from of the left panel.
5). Remove the retainer screw at the bottom front of the right panel.
6). Slide the left panel out of the firebox.
7). Slide the right panel forward 1" and lift the rear panel out of
the firebox.
8). Slide the right side panel out of the fireplace.
** NOTE **
These panels are installed with insulation backing. When installing
replacement panels, make certain that the insulation backing is
in place. These units may not function properly if this detail is
overlooked.
9). Installation of the replacement panels is performed in the
reverse order.
