Vivo! Touch User Guide

Viewing the Remaining Service Life of Toner and Wear
Parts

When planning your label printing and supply orders, it may be helpful to view the
remaining life of toner cartridges and wear parts. You can access this information
using the touchscreen.

The Home screen displays service life in a bar graph format. The colored bars visually
represent the remaining life of each item. A yellow warning icon will be displayed
when an item is nearing the end of its service life. A red warning icon and status
message will be displayed when an error condition occurs.

Supply level information for a toner cartridge and its associated image drum is stored
on the toner cartridge. For accurate toner and drum tracking, observe the following
guidelines:

Keep a toner cartridge and its associated image drum paired for their service lives.
Mixing used toner cartridges and used drums may result in inaccurate service life
estimates.

When replacing a spent toner cartridge or image drum, ensure the replacement is
a new (unused) cartridge or drum. Replacing with a used cartridge or drum may
result in inaccurate service life estimates.

Supply level information for the fuser and image belt is stored on the printer. For
accurate fuser and image belt tracking, observe the following guidelines:

After installing a new fuser or image belt, use it for its entire service life in the
printer. Installing a new fuser or image belt will result in the new item being
tracked instead of the previously installed item.

When replacing a spent fuser or image belt, ensure the replacement is a new
(unused) fuser or image belt. Replacing with a used fuser or image belt may result
in inaccurate service life estimates.
